In a dramatic twist on Big Brother Naija Season 10, Victory has emerged as the new Head of House (HOH), dethroning Thelma Lawson, who held the position for just a day.
Following Sunday’s HOH game, which saw Thelma Lawson crowned as Head of House, Big Brother shook the house with an unexpected twist. Instead of allowing the reigning HOH to choose her challengers as was the case last week , Big Brother handpicked the top six ranked housemates beneath Thelma: Jayson Jay, Dede, Victory, Ivatar, Danboskid, and Thelma herself. The sudden rule change caught the housemates off guard, especially those who assumed the familiar format would continue.
The first challenge involved a ring color sorting puzzle and a water transfer task. Despite finishing with the least water, Victory and Ivatar were surprisingly ranked first and second, while a tie between Dede, Jayson Jay, and Thelma was broken in Thelma’s favor based on completion time—placing her third. Notably, Danboskid, who finished the puzzle first, was controversially ranked last due to his low water level and eliminated from the challenge.

The final round featured a tricky “balls and snake table” game, where housemates had to maneuver a ball through seven holes using a surface pole stick. Thelma led early, but Victory made a last-minute comeback, successfully sinking his final ball just before Thelma could do the same—earning him the HOH title and his place in the BBN history books.
In an interesting yet unexpected move, Victory chose Johanna to share his HOH privileges, passing over Gege Jasmine, with whom he’s had an unclear relationship in the house.
Adding to the week’s drama, Otega was named the Head of Snail (HOS) after coming last in the challenge rankings. Given the choice between two punishments, Otega selected toilet and bathroom duties over kitchen responsibilities.
