Real Madrid forward, Kylian Mbappe has surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo’s Champions League record after scoring a hat-trick for Real Madrid against Kairat in mid-week.
Kylian Mbappe bagged himself a hat-trick in the Champions League and became the third quickest to reach 60 goals in Europe’s premier competition, which puts him on course to beat Cristiano Ronaldo’s incredible record tally.
The Real Madrid superstar reached the landmark in just 89 games, courtesy of a treble against Kairat, while it took Ronaldo 98 games to reach the same number.
The former Monaco attacker, however, is only behind the likes of Messi and Robert Lewandowski, who achieved the 60-goal mark in 80 and 85 games, respectively.

Mbappe opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 25th minute from the spot afer team-mate Franco Mastantuono was fouled in the box.
The 26-year-old then doubled his tally in the second half and completed his hat-trick in the 73rd minute of the encounter, making a total of three goals against Kairat.
