Regina Daniels gifts mother two cars ahead of Valentine’s Day

Nollywood actress and politician Rita Daniels has received two new vehicles from her daughter, Regina Daniels, ahead of Valentine’s Day.

Rita announced the gift on Instagram, revealing that Regina bought her a Toyota Land Cruiser and a Toyota Hilux at a time she was facing transportation difficulties.

“My Val came early! Everyone come and rejoice with me oo. My heart is full,” she wrote.

She explained that one of the cars Regina previously bought for her was involved in an accident, while the only remaining vehicle she used was later taken away. According to her, she initially struggled to inform her daughter about the situation.

“So short story: It took me a while to tell my daughter I didn’t have means of movement because of the situation she’s in… the other car she bought for me was involved in an accident, the remaining one I was using was taken away but guess what? My daughter bought me these two! Eeh! Nwam Daalu sor. Thank you my forever pride @regina.daniels,” she added.

Regina Daniels, who began acting as a child, remains one of Nollywood’s most visible figures, with a strong presence in film and on social media.

Rita Daniels maintains a profile in both entertainment and politics. She previously served as the Delta State Assistant Treasurer of the People’s Democratic Party in 2020.

However, on February 2, 2025, she resigned from the PDP and defected to the All Progressive Congress.

In her resignation statement posted on Instagram, she cited what she described as inconsistencies in the party’s administration and a departure from its democratic principles.

“I, Hon. Rita Daniels, this day, 2nd of February, 2025, tender my letter of resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) due to inconsistencies in the party’s administration and a deviation from its stated commitment to democratic principles and inclusivity,” she wrote.

She further alleged that the party’s constitution, which emphasises democracy, good governance, justice and inclusivity, was not being upheld.

In 2025, she also contested for the presidency of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. but lost to Abubakar Yakubu.
