A nationwide initiative to distribute one million copies of the Holy Bible across Nigeria has been announced in honour of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in recognition of his contributions to youth empowerment and national unity.
The project, spearheaded by a coalition of Christian organizations and philanthropic groups, aims to promote moral values, peace, and spiritual renewal among Nigerians, particularly the youth. The distribution is expected to reach all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory before the end of 2025.
Speaking at the launch event in Abuja, Pastor Samuel Olorunfemi, coordinator of the Bible Outreach Mission, said the initiative celebrates Seyi Tinubu’s “positive influence, humility, and commitment to service,” noting that his work with various youth-focused programmes has inspired hope among Nigerian young people.
“We see this as more than a gift it’s a message of faith and nation-building. Honouring Seyi Tinubu through the Word of God symbolizes a call for integrity, compassion, and leadership rooted in moral strength,” Pastor Olorunfemi said.

According to organizers, the Bibles will be distributed through churches, schools, correctional centres, and rural communities, with special editions translated into major Nigerian languages—Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, and others—to ensure broad accessibility.
The gesture has been widely praised by religious leaders, who described it as a meaningful contribution to promoting spiritual growth in a time of social and economic challenges.
“Faith has always been a unifying force in our country,” said Reverend Esther Okon, a Lagos-based cleric. “This initiative will remind Nigerians of the power of hope and prayer, especially among the youth.”
In a brief statement, representatives of Seyi Tinubu expressed appreciation for the recognition, saying he remains committed to supporting humanitarian causes and national development through the Noella Foundation and other outreach programmes.
Analysts say the symbolic act of distributing one million Bibles reflects a growing trend of faith-based interventions in promoting social cohesion and moral reorientation in Nigeria.
The organizers added that the nationwide distribution drive would begin later this month, with regional launch events planned in Lagos, Enugu, Kano, and Port Harcourt.
