Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has entered the ongoing controversy involving Pastor Chris Okafor and social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), issuing a 24-hour ultimatum to the cleric.

In a video shared on Instagram, Ogala demanded that Pastor Okafor withdraw his lawsuit against VDM and publicly apologise or risk further “exposure.”
She said, “Is it true that Pastor Chris Okafor’s lawyer has filed a lawsuit against VeryDarkMan? If it is, I’m giving Pastor Chris Okafor not more than 24 hours to apologise.”

The lawsuit followed VDM’s viral interviews with a woman identified as Miss Chi, who claims to be the pastor’s biological daughter. Pastor Okafor has denied the allegation, insisting that DNA test results prove otherwise.

According to the suit, the demands include the immediate retraction of all alleged false, defamatory, and misleading statements made online or elsewhere about the pastor, alongside a written apology to be published in two national newspapers, with copies forwarded to relevant authorities.

The suit also calls for an immediate cessation of any claims or implications of a familial relationship with the pastor, a DNA test challenge requiring the claimant and her sibling to submit to testing at a mutually agreed and reputable medical facility in the absence of the previously cited DNA certificate, and the removal of all content linking the pastor to allegations of paternity or abandonment.

The legal notice warned that failure to comply would compel the pastor to pursue all available legal remedies to safeguard his reputation, integrity, and ministry, adding that the action was aimed at clarifying the facts, preventing the spread of falsehoods, and reaffirming his commitment to truth and dignity.

Reacting, Ogala described the lawsuit as a “misstep” that could backfire, suggesting she possesses additional information that could further complicate the situation if the case is not withdrawn. She also revived earlier claims of a long-term romantic relationship with the pastor.

Meanwhile, Pastor Okafor’s legal team maintains that the lawsuit is necessary to address alleged defamation and protect his reputation.
