According to Bolisco, the singer experienced severe symptoms and was said to have vomited blood prior to his death.
According to reports, Destiny Boy died in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
While his death has not been confirmed by his family or management as of the time of filing the report, a video circulating on social media shows the singer lying lifeless in a vehicle with cotton wool inserted into his nostrils.
In another video shared on the singer’s personal Facebook account, shows the moment his corpse arrived at his parent’s residence in Ayetoro in Ogun State.
In a post on his Instagram story following the news of Destiny Boy’s death, Nigerian Fuji and Afropop singer, Small Doctor, shared a heartbreaking emoji, accompanied by a solemn song.
Speculations and different rumor has circulated online, alleging his death is as a result of money ritual.
A Nigerian man who claimed to knew Destiny Boy since childhood has triggered widespread reactions online after calling out a Babalawo identified as Ifayemi over allegations linked to the death of late Afrofuji singer, Destiny Boy.
In an emotional video circulating on social media, the man accused the spiritualist of giving the young singer what he described as excessive juju for his age. Speaking with visible anger and pain, he said he is yet to come to terms with Destiny Boy’s passing.
He further claimed that many young people die prematurely because some Babalawos allegedly give them spiritual rituals their bodies and ages cannot withstand. The man also raised questions about Destiny Boy’s lifestyle, wondering how the late singer was able to acquire a car reportedly worth over ₦30 million despite claims that he was not financially stable.
In his words:
“Ifayemi, I have not accepted that Destiny Boy is dead. If it is true, then you are one of those who killed him. What you gave him was too much.
They said he only did ‘IFA’, and shortly after that, he went to buy a ‘N30 million plus car’. If someone does ‘IFA’, does that mean the person wants to do money ritual? ‘IFA’ does not make one rich. When you do ‘IFA’, it is your family curses that will be washed away, but that does not mean you will have money.
After that, they will ask you what you want. Do you want money? That is when they now do rituals for you. The type of ritual you ask for is what they will do for you. But ‘IFA’ and money ritual are two different things.

If you went ahead to do something heavy, you must have passed a certain age. These days, youth deaths are becoming common because what babalawos are giving young people is too much for their age.
Ifayemi, if they later bury that boy, it is you that killed him. The juju you gave that boy was too much. They said Destiny Boy did not have money, yet he was using a ‘N30 million plus car’. How much was he even getting from his shows?
My father is also a babalawo. If you go to meet my father and say you want to do ritual, the first thing he will ask is your age. If you say you are 20 or 30-something, he will tell you he cannot do it for you because untimely death is the consequence from ‘Ajonu’, and it will beat them to death.
Can’t you see that it is accidents killing most of them? It is only this one that died while drying up alive.
Someone told me just last night that he wanted to release a new album and asked me to help promote it. I told him we should talk this morning, and now today he is dead. Me, I have not accepted that this boy is dead o.”
However, Destiny Boy’s sister, has surfaced online, shedding more light on the untimely death of the music star.
In one of the viral clips, the late singer was seen participating in a traditional ceremony, which led many to speculate that he may have gone for a money ritual that later backfired.
Reacting in an emotional recording, Destiny Boy’s sister debunked the claims.
According to her, her brother did not perform any money ritual and did not die at a herbalist’s place. From breaking news to viral moments. Follow Legit.ng on Instagram.
