Controversial Nigerian artist and Marlian Records boss, Naira Marley, has declared that he is ready to share his side of the story regarding the tragic death of former signee Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
In a post shared on his official social media account on Monday, Naira Marley urged his fans to join him online as he finally speaks on what happened.
His words …
“Meet me on YouTube
@8pm
It’s time to tell my side of the story… via Marlian Music Channel.”
The cryptic message comes nearly a year after the untimely death of Mohbad in September 2023, which sparked nationwide outrage, protests, and a public outcry for justice.
The late singer, 27, had severed ties with Marlian Records prior to his passing, citing threats, harassment, and alleged assault from individuals connected to the label.
Public suspicion quickly turned to Naira Marley and his close associate, Sam Larry, following the emergence of viral videos showing altercations and intimidation involving Mohbad. Both men were detained by police in late 2023 as part of a broader investigation but were later released on bail.
Since then, Naira Marley has maintained a relatively low profile, refraining from making detailed public statements about the incident. His latest post has reignited public interest and speculation over what he might reveal.
