King’s Smile Charity

King’s Smile Charity Foundation is a non-governmental, faith-driven humanitarian organisation committed to supporting the poor, vulnerable, and less privileged across Nigeria and, ultimately, other African nations. Founded on compassion and a divine mandate, the foundation exists to complement government efforts in addressing poverty, hunger, and social inequality, recognising that government alone cannot meet the needs of every citizen.

Our Aims

Africa, as one of the world’s continents, faces numerous challenges that political leaders and governments alone cannot fully address. Nigeria, as part of this continent, is the immediate focus of King’s Smile Charity Foundation.

The organisation was established to support the efforts of government by reaching people at the grassroots level, especially the poor, unemployed youths, women, and vulnerable groups.

The organisation aims to “put a smile on a child’s face,” reinforcing the idea that even small gestures of help can bring profound joy and hope. (Kings Smile Charity Foundation)

The foundation carries out regular outreach activities, such as children’s programmes and community support events designed to meet immediate needs while fostering long-term wellbeing. These initiatives help address urgent issues like hunger and lack of adequate clothing, especially in underserved areas. With the support of generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and strategic partners, the foundation has broadened its reach, touching lives and inspiring communities both locally and beyond.

As the foundation grows, its vision extends beyond Nigeria to other African nations, driven by a burden to bring relief, dignity, and hope wherever the need exists.

Our Activities and Impact

With statistics showing that over 75 per cent of the population earn less than one dollar daily, many families are exposed to poverty, hunger, and social hardship. King’s Smile Charity Foundation identified this urgent need and stepped in to support the poor and less privileged, providing both material and spiritual support.

In December 2012, the foundation organised its first major outreach programme in Igieduma community, Edo State, where foodstuffs, Holy Bibles, and other essential items were distributed to put smiles on the faces of the people.

The outreach expanded in December 2013 to Iyede Isoko, Delta State, where more than 1,200 people attended. During the programme, food items including rice, indomie noodles, salt, vegetable oil, and copies of the Holy Bible were distributed to attendees.

By December 2024, the foundation’s impact had grown significantly. An outreach programme held at Aduwawa, Edo State, recorded a turnout of over 2,000 people. The foundation distributed live chickens, rice, school bags, Holy Bibles, cooked food, toys, salt, and other essential items. The event was filled with good music, dancing, and celebration, followed by the ministering of the Word of God, creating an atmosphere of joy and hope.

In March 2025, King’s Smile Charity Foundation intervened in the life of a child abandoned by his parents and left in the care of his grandmother. The foundation took responsibility for the child’s education by enrolling him on a full scholarship at Owahwa Primary School, Otor-Owahwa, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State. Known as the baby of the foundation, Justice Oghenerume, he is currently in Basic 2, a testimony to the foundation’s commitment to child welfare and education.

This intervention further motivated the foundation, under divine direction, to host another major outreach in December 2025 at Agbarho, Delta State. The event attracted a surprising crowd of over 4,000 people. Food was cooked and shared, while items distributed included live chickens, rice, clothes, school bags, books, Maggi seasoning, salt, indomie noodles, vegetable oil, popcorn, ice cream, candy floss, tomatoes, shoes, malt drinks, juice, and bottled water.

Faith-Driven and Non-Political

King’s Smile Charity Foundation is a non-governmental organisation and is not politically motivated. Its work is driven solely by faith, compassion, and obedience to God. The foundation believes that God is the King who smiles on His people, and through acts of kindness and generosity, that divine smile is shared with humanity.

Through sustained outreach, community support, and faith-inspired service, King’s Smile Charity Foundation continues to transform lives, restore dignity, and spread hope — one smile at a time.

King’s Smile Charity Foundation is led by co-founders Mrs. Helen Ezo and Mr. Hezekiah Ezo, along with a team of committed coordinators and volunteers. Together, they work towards a world where dignity, compassion, and care are accessible to all, regardless of circumstance.

The organisation’s philosophy centres on collective action: that when people unite to help others, even the smallest contribution can create lasting change. By mobilising resources and support for those most in need, King’s Smile Charity Foundation continues to make a meaningful impact — one smile at a time.
