FIFA opens priority visa system for 2026 World Cup ticket holders

FIFA has launched a Priority Appointment Scheduling System (FIFA PASS) to help 2026 World Cup ticket holders secure faster U.S. visa interview appointments ahead of the tournament.

The voluntary, opt-in system allows ticket holders travelling to the United States to access prioritised visa interview slots, particularly benefiting fans from countries where U.S. visa appointment wait times are currently long.

According to FIFA, all existing ticket holders will be contacted in the coming days by the FIFA ticket office with details on how to opt into the programme. Future ticket buyers will also be given the option to enrol at the point of purchase.

Fans from countries eligible for the U.S. Visa Waiver Programme (ESTA) or those with readily available visa interview slots will not need to use FIFA PASS and can apply directly through normal channels.

FIFA PASS was first announced in November 2025 at an event held at the White House, attended by U.S. President Donald Trump, senior U.S. government officials and FIFA President Gianni Infantino. The initiative highlights cooperation between FIFA and U.S. authorities ahead of the global tournament.
