Investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has alleged that Afrobeats superstar, Davido has taken action against Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo.
This comes after VeryDarkMan released a series of WhatsApp chats showing Iyabo Ojo accusing Davido of chasing clout over Mohbad’s death.
According to Kemi Olunloyo’s Facebook post, Davido has reportedly disinvited Iyabo Ojo from his upcoming white wedding to Chioma in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to Olunloyo, the DMW boss didn’t stop at the wedding list.
“August go long. Wedding invite cancelled, unfollows Iyabo,” she wrote on Facebook, hinting that Davido had also unfollowed the actress on Instagram, a move that further fueled speculations of a deepening rift between the two public figures.
The WhatsApp messages shared by VeryDarkMan appear to show Iyabo Ojo openly questioning Davido’s motives.
“My problem is not even the black, whatever… it’s Davido, who flew down like he claimed to fight for justice, but he still dey follow Naira Marley,” she wrote, referring to Davido’s earlier show of solidarity following Mohbad’s death in September 2023.
In another portion of the chat, Ojo allegedly accused Davido of hypocrisy, stating:
“That means he was chasing clout. I am so disappointed. And to think he has been saying he is the only superstar artist who stood by Mohbad, just fake love 001.”
Davido, who was previously vocal about justice for Mohbad, has not issued any direct response to the allegations. However, the alleged decision to exclude Iyabo Ojo from his high-profile wedding event is seen by many as a silent but symbolic reaction.

Adding fuel to the fire, Kemi Olunloyo went further to disclose details about Iyabo Ojo’s current residence, claiming the actress is now residing quietly in an apartment on Banana Island.
“She’s hiding out there now. Maybe to avoid public attention or what’s coming,” Olunloyo suggested.
She also stated that Naira Marley has started trolling Iyabo online, a move she describes as “karmic payback” for what happened over a decade ago:
“Iyabo allegedly leaked his phone number and address to Gistlover back in 2012. Now the tables have turned,” Olunloyo added.
Meanwhile, VeryDarkMan, who is currently entangled in a bitter online feud with Iyabo Ojo, insists he released the chats as part of his ongoing campaign for transparency in the justice-for-Mohbad movement.
“She’s playing both sides,” he said in a video. “One minute she’s marching for justice, next minute she’s apologizing to Naira Marley and Sammy Larry behind closed doors.”
Earlier, the critic had also shared screenshots from a group chat where Iyabo Ojo, Tonto Dikeh, and other prominent Nigerians discussed Mohbad’s case. But the new wave of revelations has cast a long shadow on the perceived unity among the entertainers who once led public calls for justice.
Despite the storm, Iyabo Ojo has remained publicly silent. Her verified social media accounts have not commented on the allegations or her reported exclusion from Davido’s wedding.
The drama continues to unravel against the still-sensitive backdrop of Mohbad’s death on September 12, 2023, and the public’s demand for accountability. The intertwining of celebrity relationships, activism, and social media battles has kept Nigerians both outraged and enthralled.
