Popular footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, and long-time partner, Georgina Rodriguez, are finally set to tie the knot, after being together for almost a decade.
Confirming her engagement to CR7 on social media, Georgina Rodriguez wrote, “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.”
The 31-year-old gave fans a look at her breathtaking diamond ring, wearing it on her left ring finger as she laid her hand over Cristiano’s, putting the massive stone on display.
While Cristiano and Georgina are taking a step toward marriage, they’ve already built a family together that includes twins Eva Maria and Mateo, 8, and daughters Alana, 7, and Bella, 3. (Cristiano and Georgina announced the heartbreaking death of their baby boy in April 2022.)
And although Cristiano—also dad to son Cristiano Jr., 15—prefers to keep much of his family life out of the spotlight, he’s previously addressed the difficulties he faces in relationships.
Before the latest development, there had been constant questions about when they intend to tie the knot.During Rodriguez’s Netflix series, I am Georgina, the couple detailed their early years of dating — when Ronaldo met the then-Gucci store assistant. According to an English audio translation at the time, Ronaldo thought she was a “very interesting girl, so much more mature for her age.”

“Many times he’d come after work,” Rodriguez recalled of her now-fiancé. “He would come, I remember once, in a Bugatti. My coworkers went crazy. They get there on the bus, and I would leave in a Bugatti. I mean, people couldn’t believe it.”
Ronaldo added: “It was funny because I would wait for her outside the store in these flashy cars I have. … We would go home, and there we would go into our own world.”
Speaking to Piers Morgan in 2019, Ronaldo added, “She’s a fantastic person. Yes, it is [true love]. Yes, it was [like magic meeting for the first time]. Gio is part of me. She helps me so much.
“Of course, I’m in love with her. She’s the mum of my kids. I’m so passionate for her. She’s my friend, we have conversations. I open my heart to her. She opened her heart to me. [She’s the greatest love of my life]… Why not [get married]. Not now! Not in this interview. Why not, one day… We’ll one day, for sure. It’s my mum’s dream.”
