Chelsea Confirm Signing of Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City

Chelsea have officially signed Kiernan Dewsbury‑Hall from Leicester City for around £30 million, securing the 25‑year‑old midfielder on a six‑year contract, strengthening their squad ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.

The 26-year-old joins the Blues on a long-term deal after an impressive campaign in the Championship, where he played a key role in helping Leicester secure promotion back to the top flight.

Dewsbury-Hall, known for his high work rate, creativity, and leadership in midfield, becomes one of the first major additions under new manager Enzo Maresca, who previously worked with the player during his time at Leicester.

Leicester City confirmed the deal in a statement, thanking Dewsbury‑Hall, an academy graduate, for his contributions and role in helping the club return to the Premier League, where he scored 12 goals and registered 14 assists in the Championship season

The club stated that they are confident the midfielder will bring energy and experience to Chelsea’s young squad.

Manager Enzo Maresca, who previously worked with him at Leicester, welcomed him to Stamford Bridge. Dewsbury‑Hall expressed his delight, saying, “It is amazing to be sitting here as a Chelsea player… I’m really excited to get going and can’t wait to show everybody what I can do.”

Meanwhile, Newcastle United are reportedly showing interest in Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, who joined the London club from Villarreal last summer. While Jackson had a mixed debut season at Stamford Bridge, scoring goals but struggling with consistency, he remains a player with strong potential.

Newcastle are believed to be exploring options to bolster their attack, and Jackson is among the names being considered.

Chelsea are yet to respond to the reported interest, and it remains to be seen whether they will be open to negotiating a move for the Senegal international.

With both clubs looking to reshape their squads ahead of the new season, further transfer activity is expected in the coming weeks.
