The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the nominees for the 2025 CAF Awards in the men’s categories, honouring the continent’s finest talents among players, coaches, clubs, and national teams.
The awards recognise individuals and teams that have made significant contributions to African and global football from January 6 to October 15, 2025.
According to a statement released on the CAF website on Monday, a distinguished panel comprising members of the CAF Technical and Development Committee, seasoned coaches, CAF Legends, and select media representatives shortlisted ten nominees in each category based on their performances in both domestic and international competitions.
Leading the nominees are Cameroon’s Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, following their stellar seasons with Napoli and Liverpool, respectively, alongside their national team achievements. Other prominent names on the list include Fiston Mayele (DR Congo/Pyramids), whose scoring prowess propelled Pyramids to the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League title, Achraf Hakimi (Morocco/PSG), Victor Osimhen (Nigeria/Galatasaray), and Iliman Ndiaye (Senegal/Everton).
Men’s Player of the Year Nominees:
