We’ll continue to strike Iran, Lebanon — Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said Israel will continue its military strikes in both Iran and Lebanon as part of efforts to protect its national interests.

Netanyahu disclosed on Monday that he held talks with United States President Donald Trump, noting that both sides see an opportunity to build on recent military gains achieved with support from the U.S.

He indicated that these developments could help advance Israel’s broader war objectives within the framework of a potential agreement aimed at securing the country’s strategic interests.

Despite ongoing diplomatic considerations, Netanyahu maintained that Israeli forces are still actively carrying out strikes in Iran and Lebanon. He said the operations are focused on dismantling missile and nuclear capabilities, while also dealing heavy setbacks to Hezbollah.

He further revealed that two additional nuclear scientists were recently killed, signalling continued pressure on Iran’s nuclear programme.

Netanyahu added that Israel remains committed to protecting its interests under all circumstances.

He wrote, “Earlier today, I spoke with our friend President Trump.

“President Trump believes there is an opportunity to leverage the tremendous achievements we have attained with the U.S. military to realize the war objectives in the agreement—an agreement that will safeguard our vital interests.

“At the same time, we continue to strike both in Iran and in Lebanon. We are crushing the missile program and the nuclear program, and continuing to inflict severe blows on Hezbollah.

“Just days ago, we eliminated two more nuclear scientists—and the hand is still outstretched.

“We will safeguard our vital interests in any scenario.”
