Popular Nigerian actress Faithia Williams Balogun has announced the death of her mother, revealing that the loss occurred shortly before her 55th birthday celebration.
The actress disclosed on Monday that her mother passed away on the eve of the party held in Lagos on Sunday.
According to her, her mother died on the eve of the birthday party, but the information was intentionally kept from her until after the celebration.
In an emotional message shared with fans, she described her late mother as her greatest supporter and confidant.

She wrote that the reality of the loss had not fully sunk in, noting that her mother was her cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and closest companion.
Faithia also appealed to fans and the public to remember her and her siblings in prayers, adding that the family has decided to keep matters private for now. She said burial arrangements would Shebe announced later.
