Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has publicly apologized to Big Brother Naija season 10 winner, Imisioluwa Eniola Ayanwale, aka Imisi, following widespread backlash over a sensitive question she asked during the reality star’s birthday party on January 27, 2026.
Reports gathered that Nkechi Blessing had grabbed the microphone during the imisi’s birthday in Lagos to ask Imisi if she will ever forgive her mother.
The question, though asked with concern, sparked visible tension among guests and left the celebrant in tears, prompting criticism from fans online who felt it overshadowed the birthday celebration.
Responding to the uproar, Nkechi Blessing released a follow-up video to clarify her intentions. She denied any attempt to seek clout or cause harm.
“I sincerely want to apologize to anybody who got offended with the question that I asked Imisi,” the actress said.

“My question came from a place of concern. I wanted to make sure she held no regrets, as my own relationship with my late mother made me value these moments.”
She further explained that the tears shed by Imisi were tears of joy, not sadness, and that her intent was to encourage healing rather than create controversy.
Nkechi Blessing also urged critics to stop dragging her and asked Imisi’s fanbase, known as “Imistars,” for forgiveness. She ended her message by expressing love for the celebrant and wishing her well.
