Nigerian TikTok star and streamer Habeeb “Peller” Hamzat has reportedly dropped out of Caleb University just days after resuming academic activities.

His decision, which surfaced in a viral voice note, has sparked widespread reactions across social media, with many users debating his reasons for leaving school so abruptly.

In the voice note, Peller expressed frustration with the traditional classroom system, lamenting the long hours spent in lectures without any immediate financial reward.

“I’m not going back to school. I can’t sit in a classroom for seven hours without making any money. I’ll go back when I clock 40,” he said.

The streamer further described attending lectures as unproductive compared to his work as a content creator.

“I will now sit inside class for like seven hours and be writing and looking? And play play not making anything? God forbid,” he added.

Peller also revealed in a post on his Instagram story that he had hoped to combine his studies with live streaming in order to support himself financially. According to him, he wanted to quietly place his live stream in a corner of the classroom while lectures were ongoing.

“Please make una allow me stream for school. As school dey go on, make I put my live stream for one corner dey make some small token,” he pleaded.

Another factor behind his decision was his perception of age differences in the classroom. Peller joked about feeling out of place among older students and suggested he might return to school later in life.

“When I entered the school I see that everybody is old, so me too I need to get old like 30 or 40 years before I go,” he said.

He also cited mental fatigue as a major reason for stepping away from academics, describing the classroom environment as overwhelming and hinting that a complete break was necessary for his well-being.

It remains unclear whether Peller has officially withdrawn from Caleb University or simply stopped attending lectures.
