Nigerian superstar Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has reportedly cancelled five arena dates from his ongoing ‘No Sign of Weakness Tour’ following a noticeable drop in ticket sales.
According to reports, interest in the remaining tour dates declined sharply after a controversial video of the singer ejecting a fan for sleeping at his US concert went viral, sparking widespread criticism online.
The drama began after a widely circulated video capturing Burna Boy halting his performance during a US show to confront a woman who appeared to be sleeping in the front row.
In the clip, Burna Boy paused the music, addressed the fan in front of thousands, and her boyfriend eventually escorted her out.
Shortly after, another old video resurfaced, where Burna Boy stated that he prefers “rich fans” and that he doesn’t beg anyone to support him.
The resurfaced clip sparked heated debates, especially at a time when concert ticket prices are climbing worldwide.

Many Nigerians and fans around the world felt the statement was arrogant and out of touch, especially given the rising cost of concert tickets globally.
As a result of the declining numbers, promoters quietly pulled the plug on five scheduled arena dates, citing poor ticket sales reason.
The decision further fueled online discussions, with critics saying the cancellations were a direct consequence of Burna Boy’s recent behaviour and comments.
In response to the growing backlash, Burna Boy later shared an emotional message acknowledging that he hasn’t been in the best state mentally.
The Grammy winner revealed he was “going through personal battles” and that people are quick to react when he does something wrong.
