Bishop David Abioye, the Senior Pastor of the Conquerors Global Assembly, has shared a personal testimony, revealing that his wife was once diagnosed with HIV during the COVID-19 pandemic but later declared free of the virus after prayers and faith declarations.

Speaking during a Sunday live service while teaching on divine healing, the respected cleric recounted how he immediately rejected the medical report and insisted on a re-examination, citing scriptural revelation as the basis for his confidence.

“During COVID-19 they said my wife had HIV, I said no. Not in this body,” Abioye stated. “By the time they checked her… because I got scriptural revelation ‘the prince of this world came to check me and found nothing’ I told them to go and do the check-up again. They checked her up and they couldn’t find anything there.”

The bishop emphasized the power of faith in overcoming illness, urging believers to confront sickness with spiritual authority rather than passive acceptance. “Healing is not for gentlemen,” he added. “You don’t nurse sickness to go, you fight sickness to go.”

Abioye, who is also a close associate of Living Faith Church founder Bishop David Oyedepo, has long been known for teachings on faith, healing, and victorious Christian living. His latest testimony has stirred discussions among followers online, with many hailing it as proof of divine intervention during one of the most challenging periods of the pandemic.

The cleric concluded his sermon by encouraging the congregation to hold firmly to God’s word in times of crisis, asserting that faith remains a potent force against both physical and spiritual afflictions.
