President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday swore in Bernard Doro and Kingsley Udeh as Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The brief ceremony followed their individual screenings and confirmations by the Senate. Oche Egwa, Assistant Director of Information at the State House, read their official citations before both appointees took the oath of office together.

Bernard Doro, who holds degrees in Pharmacy and Law, was assigned to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, representing Plateau State. His nomination and subsequent confirmation by the Senate took place in late October 2025.

Kingsley Udeh, an accomplished lawyer from Enugu State, was appointed Minister of Science, Innovation, and Technology, succeeding Uche Nnaji, who resigned following allegations of certificate forgery. The Senate endorsed Udeh’s appointment on Thursday, paving the way for his formal induction into the cabinet.

Udeh previously served as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State, where he earned recognition for his reforms in the state’s justice sector and advocacy for technological innovation in governance.

With the new appointments, President Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening governance and accelerating policy implementation across ministries, particularly in poverty alleviation and innovation-driven economic growth.

Both ministers are expected to assume their respective duties immediately.
