Ahead of the October 27, 2025, All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in Ekiti State, Governor Biodun Oyebanji and Mrs. Atinuke Oluremi Omolayo have submitted their nomination and expression of interest forms to the party.
Omolayo, one of four aspirants in the race, was the first to return her completed forms.
Governor Oyebanji later submitted his forms amid a show of support from party members and loyalists who thronged the Muhammadu Buhari House, the APC’s national headquarters in Abuja.

The governor, accompanied by the state’s first executive governor, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, members of the state executive council, lawmakers, local government chairmen, traditional rulers, and market leaders, personally presented his forms to the Deputy National Organising Secretary, Hon. Chidi Duru.
