Napoli have turned down a formal offer of €70 million from Galatasaray for striker Victor Osimhen, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano revealed on Friday that Galatasaray submitted the bid earlier in the day, complete with bank documents to guarantee payment.
However, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis reportedly declined the proposal, insisting on a guaranteed €75 million fee for the Nigerian forward.
The Turkish champions offered to meet the release clause via instalments, backed by a structure of financial guarantees.
However, Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Napoli remain unsatisfied with the payment plan and security offered by Galatasaray, leading to a breakdown in negotiations.

“Understand Napoli have now rejected new formal proposal sent by Galatasaray today for Victor Osimhen.
“Galatasaray offered €70m today with bank documents attached for payment guarantees… Napoli president De Laurentiis wants €75m guaranteed and he has rejected,” Romano posted.
The Super Eagles striker, frustrated by the delay, has reportedly refused to attend pre-season training and informed Napoli he no longer wishes to play under new manager Antonio Conte.
Galatasaray, confident after Victor Osimhen’s impressive loan spell last season, where he scored 37 goals and registered eight assists in 41 appearances, hoped to finalise a permanent deal.
Osimhen, a key figure in Napoli’s successes two seasons ago, remains one of the most sought-after strikers in European football.
